1. ABOUT INSPIRE SCIENCE EDUCATION

1.1

Inspire Science Education (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides science enrichment products, STEM activity kits, Science Gadget Shops, educational resources, and related materials for UK primary schools and educational organisations.

1.2

Our products are designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm for science through engaging, hands-on STEM experiences.

1.3

Products such as the Science Gadget Shop, STEM activity packs, downloadable resources, posters, printed materials, and associated educational content are proprietary products created and distributed by Inspire Science Education.

1.4

All materials, including artwork, illustrations, documents, templates, branding, logos, product concepts, and downloadable resources, remain the intellectual property of Inspire Science Education unless otherwise stated.

 

2. POSTAGE, PACKAGING & DELIVERY

2.1

Standard UK delivery charges are displayed during checkout.

2.2

Additional delivery charges may apply for Highlands, Islands, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, and international addresses.

2.3

Express delivery options may be available for selected products and events.

2.4

Orders are normally dispatched within 3–5 working days. During busy periods, including national science events and school peak periods, dispatch may take up to 10 working days.

2.5

Smaller parcels may be sent via Royal Mail. Larger orders may be delivered via Parcelforce or other tracked courier services.

2.6

Delivery times are estimates only. We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by postal services, couriers, customs processes, weather conditions, or circumstances beyond our control.

 

3. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY & SUBSTITUTIONS

3.1

Occasionally, specific items within a Science Gadget Shop or STEM kit may become temporarily unavailable.

3.2

Where necessary, we reserve the right to substitute products with similar items of equal or greater value.

3.3

Any substitutions will remain appropriate to the science/STEM theme, educational purpose, and overall quality of the kit.

3.4

Customers will never be charged additional costs for substitutions.

 

4. DIGITAL DOWNLOADS & RESOURCE USAGE

4.1

Some products are supplied as digital downloads, including PDF files, ZIP folders, presentations, worksheets, and online resources.

4.2

Digital products are non-refundable once accessed or downloaded.

4.3

Schools and educational organisations may use purchased resources internally for educational purposes only.

4.4

Resources may not be:

  • redistributed externally

  • uploaded publicly online

  • resold or sublicensed

  • copied for commercial use

  • modified and redistributed without written permission

 

5. PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION

5.1

We comply with UK GDPR and all relevant UK data protection legislation.

5.2

We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5.3

We may reference school names or testimonials on our website or promotional materials as participating customers unless requested otherwise.

5.4

Payment information is processed securely through trusted third-party payment providers.

 

6. PRODUCT INFORMATION & EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES

6.1

Product descriptions, estimated contents, and educational information are provided in good faith and may occasionally vary slightly between production runs.

6.2

Science Gadget Shops and STEM activity kits are designed to encourage enthusiasm for science, STEM engagement, and hands-on learning experiences.

6.3

Individual educational outcomes, engagement levels, and fundraising results may vary between schools depending on implementation, participation, and event format.

6.4

Any fundraising estimates, profit examples, or promotional figures displayed on our website or marketing materials are illustrative estimates only and are not guaranteed.

 

7. PAYMENTS

7.1

We accept payment via:

  • BACS / Bank Transfer

  • Credit or Debit Card

  • Cheque

  • Approved school purchase orders

  • Other methods agreed in advance

7.2

Invoices are payable within 30 days unless alternative terms have been agreed in writing.

7.3

Late payment may result in delayed dispatch, suspension of future orders, or withdrawal of promotional pricing.

7.4

Goods remain the property of Inspire Science Education until full payment has been received.

 

8. RETURNS & REFUNDS

8.1

Unused physical items may be returned within 30 working days of delivery, subject to approval.

8.2

Returned items must be unused, undamaged, and in original packaging where possible.

8.3

Customers should notify us within 7 working days of receiving goods if they wish to initiate a return.

8.4

Refunds will normally be processed within 30 days of receiving returned items.

8.5

Delivery costs are non-refundable unless:

  • the item is faulty

  • the incorrect item was supplied

  • we have agreed otherwise in writing

8.6

The following items are non-refundable:

  • digital downloads

  • partially used kits

  • consumable items

  • products damaged after delivery through misuse or improper storage

 

9. SCIENCE GADGET SHOP GUARANTEE

9.1

Selected Science Gadget Shop packages may include a profit or satisfaction guarantee as outlined in the relevant Information Pack or promotional materials.

9.2

Guarantees apply only where events have been run substantially in accordance with the supplied guidance.

9.3

Any claim must be submitted within 30 days of the event and supported by reasonable evidence.

9.4

Guarantees do not apply where:

  • products were given away

  • products were sold significantly below recommended pricing

  • substantial portions of the kit were unused

  • the event was not reasonably promoted within the school

 

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All website content, branding, product concepts, educational materials, downloadable resources, images, text, graphics, logos, illustrations, and documents are owned by Inspire Science Education or its licensors and are protected by UK intellectual property law.

No content may be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, or commercially reused without prior written permission.

 

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

11.1

We are not liable for:

  • loss of profits or fundraising income

  • misuse of products

  • accidental damage caused by improper use

  • delivery delays outside our control

  • website downtime or technical interruptions

  • indirect or consequential losses

11.2

Nothing within these Terms excludes liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence

  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

  • any rights that cannot legally be excluded under UK law

 

12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.

Continued use of our website, products, or services constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
